Program

Day 1: Welcome to Cyprus
Arrival on the island from Larnaca / Paphos airport, where you will meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the welcome snacks and drinks that we will prepare for you. Check in your room and free time to enjoy the area.

Day 2: Petra tou Romiou & Paphos
After our Open Buffet Breakfast, we will have our welcome meeting with Information about the week, Hotel and area of the hotel to learn what is where) Then, Maps and Information leaflets will be distributed.  When we start to our tour, our first stop will be the birthplace of Aphrodite (Petra tou Romiou). The goddess Aphrodite who is the goddess of love, beauty, joy and passion. Then, we will proceed to the ancient capital of Cyprus - Paphos, where we will see the Column of the Apostle Paul, who has been punished for his mission to preach Christianity. On the way we will walk in the area of the Old Port where we will see the Castle of Paphos, which was built by the Byzantines and has an important role in the history of Cyprus. Free time to enjoy a coffee in the wonderful atmosphere of Pafos port. Subsequently, we will discover the nearby Archaeological Park of Kato Paphos (listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and visit the famous mosaics at the Biggest mosaic Museum of Cyprus. Free time to visit local souvenir shops and have lunch at one of the cafes or restaurants in the area. During our return to Limassol we will visit the village of Geroskipou to taste the famous Cypriot desert - Loukoumia. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Limassol. Excursion start: 10:30 Return to the hotel: 17:30.

Day 3: Monastery of Panagia Kykkos, wine tasting in Omodos & Troodos
After the Breakfast, Today's tour begins through the impressive Troodos Mountains, which rise above the plains, the coast and are home to remote villages with religious communities, ornate Byzantine churches hidden in its forested slopes. On the way to Famous Kykkos Monastery we will see Kouris Reservoir before we have a coffee break the Platres Village. Platres is a really good example for Greek Traditions and local tourist attractions. Then we will drive wonderful route between the pines of the Troodos Mountain until we reach to the magnificent building of the Kykkos Monastery, known for its Byzantine Museum, mosaics and frescoes. During our long visit to the monastery we will have a treat break in the courtyard. Afterwards, we will visit the tomb of Archbishop Makarios, the first president of Cyprus. Archbishop Makarios began his ecclesiastical career there as a monk in 1926. Afterwards, he did not remain there but returned several times. His request to be buried there was fulfilled after his death in 1977. The tomb is located 3 km west of Kykkos Monastery. Then, Our road to Omodos, a wonderful mountain village of Troodos which is famous with Special local restaurants, Traditional wine making as well as churches and ancient buildings. We will have our lunch, try local vines, and enjot the relax afternoon at the Village. A bit of local shopping, especially house made wines)) and walk around the Village. Return to the hotel around 17:30. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Limassol.

Day 4: Lefkara Lace & Capital Nicosia
Breakfast will be followed with a nice drive to the Most beautiful Village of Cyprus “village of Lefkara”.  The village of Lefkara, known for its Lefkaritic lace embroideries as well as its handmade silver jewelry. The village takes its name from the white of the mountains' silica and limestone. Our tour of the village and stop for Cypriot coffee at a local coffee shop, will give us the opportunity to talk and get to know the locals of the island. 
Subsequently, we will head to Nicosia, where we will stop at the Cyprus Museum of Nicosia, the oldest and largest archaeological museum in Cyprus. The museum houses artifacts discovered during numerous excavations on the island. After visiting the Museum, we will have a nice walk, enter the old City from Larnaca Gate, which these magnificent walls build by Byzantines to protect the city from Ottoman attacks. Nicosia is a divided city since 1974 by the 'Green Line' separating Greek and Turkish Cypriot territories, it is a bustling city of sophisticated cafes and shops, as well as a fascinating gateway to the island's troubled past. Free time for shopping, Lunch and relax in this historical city. Return to the hotel around 17:30. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Limassol.

Day 5: Free day
Free day for rest and relaxation at your hotel. Those who wish, walk and explore the area. There are so many things to do in and around Limassol - sights to see, shops to discover, even nearby golf courses to play or walk. Tonight, our dinner will be in a local tavern with great music, where the adventurous will have the chance to try dancing traditional dances. Overnight at our hotel in Limassol.

Day 6:  Ancient city of Kourion & Limassol
After Breakfast, the day will begin with lovely drive to the ancient City Kingdom’s ruins of Kourion, a magnificent city is located on top of the rocks, by the sea. There you will be able to admire the impressive view of the city as well as the sanctuary of Apollo, the Cemetery of the Gate of Amathus, the House of Duelists and the House of Achilles of prehistoric times. Kourion was an important city-kingdom in antiquity and stands as one of the most impressive archaeological sites in Limassol/Cyprus. Afterwards, we will visit the Kourion Theatre, 2nd. Century Magnificent building, which is still used to this day, for the organization of various festivals. Then, we will drive to Limassol. Here we will visit the exciting sights, the excellent shops and the Old Town – the picturesque fishing harbor and marina. Also take a stroll through the ancient castle, the wedding Hall) of Richard the Lionheart (Richard the Lionheart married for the first and the last time in Limassol in 1991, when he came to Cyprus with the 3rd. Crusade, and the Lady he married is the only Queen of England, who never been to England) and the traditional Ottoman baths that are still in operation will be on our way. Tour will finish with a lovely relaxing break at the Marina. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Limassol. Excursion start: 09:30 Return to the hotel: 17:00

Day 7: Stavroviuni, Agia Napa, Larnaca Tour
After our Breakfast, First visit will be the St. Thekla Monastery, which is known as the women’s monastery. According to tradition, the monastery was built by Saint Helen during her visit to Cyprus in the beginning of the 4th century AD, when she had also established the Holy Monastery of Stavrovouni. The tradition reports that when Saint Helen arrived at the region, prayed to God and then Holy Water started flowing from the earth that helped her and her escorts to cool down. She then constructed a church over this spot, which she dedicated to the early martyr and equal to Apostles, Saint Thekla. The Holy Water spring exists today and it is used by the faithful for the cure of skin diseases and eczemas. Close by is the Monastery of Stavrovouni which will be our next stop of the day. The Monastery was built in 329 AD. by the Empress Saint Helen making it one of the oldest in the world. Then, we will drive through the Centre of Larnaca, short break at the Lovely Finikoudes beach, walk around and have a drink as well. Next stop will be the Church of Saint Lazarus. Saint Lazarus, who is resurrected 4 days after his death by his friend and Lord Jesus Christ in Bethany soon left his town for Cyprus in fear of the Jews. In Cyprus he was ordained Bishop of Kition (Larnaca today) by the Apostles Paul and Barnabas. Departure for our hotel. Free time before the evening walk in the city. Dinner and overnight at our Hotel.

Day 8: Goodbye Cyprus – See you again
Depending on your flight departure, we will arrange your transfer by bus to Larnaca / Paphos airport.
