Day 1: LARNACA - WARSAW
Assembly at Larnaca airport and departure for Warsaw, the capital of Poland. Arrival, pick-up and transfer to the hotel. Overnight.
Day 2: WARSAW
Breakfast and guided tour of the city. Warsaw is an elegant city that stretches along the banks of the Vistula River and is full of sights and monuments, which although completely destroyed during World War II, were rebuilt with faithful and detailed copying from historical documents, sketches, paintings and photographs, restoring the old and new city of Warsaw. We will start with the huge and lush “Łazienki” park, designed in the 17th century and featuring lakes and magnificent buildings, such as the famous royal palace “Palace on the Water” as well as the “Chopin” monument dedicated to the great Polish composer. We continue with the Monument to the Heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto, which was the largest of all the Nazi ghettos during World War II, and the monument to the Unknown Soldier. Then we will pass by the Palace of Science and Culture and end up in the old town where we will see, among other things, the Sigismund Column, the mermaid statue and the central square, which is surrounded by beautiful colorful buildings, cafes and restaurants and is a meeting point for locals. We will conclude our tour with the house where Marie Skłodowska-Curie was born in 1867, the first woman to be awarded the Nobel Prize twice (Physics & Chemistry). The rest of the day is free at your disposal. For those interested, we recommend a visit to the city's Royal Palace-Castle. Overnight stay.
Day 3: WARSAW - WROTCZLAW
After breakfast we will depart for Wrocław, the "Venice of the North", a city with impressive buildings and bridges that impresses even the most demanding traveler. Arrival, check-in at the hotel and then we will have a tour of Wrocław, which is simply irresistible. Gothic buildings, colorful houses, fairy-tale alleys, elegant mansions and the special architecture and medieval atmosphere make you feel like you have gone back in time. The famous dwarfs - protectors of the city are literally everywhere as playful statuettes, as according to legend they drove away the goblins who were tormenting the locals and since then they have never left, but have stayed to protect the city from all evil. We will see, among other things, the main square Rynek with its colorful buildings, the Cathedral, the Town Hall, the University, as well as the Piaseck Island on the Oder River. We will also admire the Most Grunwaldzki bridge, which is a symbol of the city and is truly impressive. Free time to take your walks in this unique city and try local specialties such as Polish pierogi (local handmade dumplings filled with meat, cheese or mushrooms). Overnight.
Day 4: WROTCZLAW - KSIAZ CASTLE
Breakfast and then departure for one of the largest and most impressive castles in the country, with a rich history stretching back to the 13th century. Ksiaz has served as the seat of various European aristocrats and kings throughout its history. With its impressive architecture, magnificent gardens and stunning location in a natural lush landscape, Ksiaz is an unforgettable destination. The architecture of the castle combines various architectural styles and eras due to the many interventions and renovations that have been made during its history. It was originally built in the 13th century in the Gothic style, but has undergone many modifications and additions over the centuries. Our last visit, the beautiful wooden church of Swidnica, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Return to Wroclaw. The rest of the day is free for walks and shopping in the picturesque streets of this wonderful city. Overnight stay.
Day 5: WROTCLAW - AUSCHWITZ - KRAKOW
After breakfast we will depart for the largest Nazi concentration camp, Auschwitz, to visit the crematoriums of the Nazi occupation where millions of people, of 28 different nationalities, died. We continue to perhaps the most beautiful city in Poland, Krakow. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. In the evening we suggest you take a romantic carriage ride through the streets of the old town. Overnight stay.
Day 6: KRAKOW - WIELICKA
Breakfast and guided tour of Krakow, which is a magnet for millions of tourists. We will start from the main square, Rynek Glowny, which is one of the largest in Europe, to see the old cloth market and the famous Church of Our Lady, the church tower and hear the famous trumpet call, the Barbican, Florianska Street and the oldest building of the University of Krakow, Collegium Maius, founded in 1364. We will cross the Royal Route of Poland to see the Wawel Castle, an architectural masterpiece that has witnessed centuries of Polish history, and the Cathedral. Then we will visit the unique Wieliczka Salt Mines. One of the oldest in the world, they have been turned into a museum and a wonderful work of art and since 1978 they have been included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We will admire the various salt sculptures and the magnificent church which has been carved entirely by the salt miners themselves. A unique place in the world that you have never seen before. Return to Krakow and overnight.
Day 7: KRAKOW - CZESTOCHOWA - WARSAW
After breakfast we will depart for Czestochowa, the religious capital of Poland. Here we will visit the Jasna Gora monastery with the unique and famous icon of the Black Madonna. We continue with our final destination, the capital Warsaw. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Free time at your disposal. Overnight.
Day 8: WARSAW - LARNACA
Breakfast and departure for the Warsaw airport to take the return flight. Arrival in Larnaca early in the afternoon, clearly impressed by a country with magnificent architecture, beautiful landscapes, and rich history.
