Program

Day 1 (Wednesday): LARNACA - ATHENS - TRIKALA
Gathering at Larnaca airport and flight to Athens. Arrival, pick-up and departure to Trikala, with a stopover for lunch. Arrival in the afternoon. Trikala is a beautiful city, most of which is pedestrianized. Check-in at the hotel and a city tour follows. We will see the Central Bridge, the city's Fortress, the Kursoum Mosque, the old city consisting of the Varousi and Manavika districts, the railway station, the courthouse and the metal bridge over the Litheos River and we will end up in the city center. Overnight.

Day 2 (M. Thursday): TRIKALA - METEORA - KALAMBAKA
Breakfast and we depart for Meteora, a landscape that enchants with its natural rocks and monasteries located on the edges of the rocks. Time to visit one of the monasteries and enjoy the magnificent view. Then we will descend to Kastraki with the special view of the first rocks of Meteora and then to Kalambaka and free time for lunch and to visit the Museum of Natural History and Mushrooms as well as a workshop of Byzantine icons. Return to our hotel. In the evening we will watch the Crucifixion in a nearby church. Overnight.

Day 3 (Friday): TRIKALA - METSOVO - IGOUMENITSA - CORFU
Breakfast and we depart for Metsovo, which is built at an altitude of 1200 meters, a mountainous city that charms with its amazing colors and unique images. Free time in the central square of Metsovo, which is surrounded by beautiful cafes and small shops. We continue to the port of Igoumenitsa where we will take the ferry to the port of Corfu. Arrival and check-in at our hotel and rest. Dinner early and we depart for the city of Corfu with its devout atmosphere, the Epitaphs with the philharmonics, for their big meeting at Spianada Square… The experience is unique!

Day 4 (M. Saturday): CORFU - ACHILLEION
Breakfast and visit to the city for the Litany of the Relic of Saint Spyridon. The philharmonic orchestra accompanies and the faithful follow from the “Saint” to the Fortress. At 11:00 from every corner of the city the sound of the local breaking jugs is heard, the bells ring, the bands play joyful marches. The city celebrates the first Resurrection! Later we will visit the Achilleion (individual expenses), the palace built by the Empress of Austria Elisabeth, known as Sissi, out of her devotion to Corfu, Greece and its culture. We will see its imposing form and the large terraced gardens with the stunning view. Return to our hotel and rest. In the evening, we will watch the Easter Procession and have a rich Easter dinner with traditional magieritsa and many delicacies.

Day 5 (Easter Sunday): CORFU - KANONI - SPIANADA SQUARE
Christ is Risen! A rich festive breakfast and time to enjoy the festive atmosphere. The roasting of lambs is accompanied by ouzo snacks. The Easter meal follows with a spit, traditional Lambriada delicacies, singing, feasting and dancing! In the afternoon, we will visit Kanoni, from here we will see the Monastery of Vlaherna and the Mouse Island. We continue for a walk in the city's cantouni and the famous Spianada Square, the largest in Greece, for a coffee in Liston overlooking the palace of Saints Michael and George and the imposing Old Fortress.

Day 6 (Easter Monday): CORFU - ARTA - PATRA
Breakfast and departure for the port of Corfu where we will board the ferry boat for Igoumenitsa and then depart for Arta, the second largest city in Epirus. We will visit the Byzantine churches of Agia Theodora, the patron saint of the city and the 13th century church of Parigoritissa, as well as its legendary bridge. Free time for lunch and we continue to Patras. Arrival and check-in at our central hotel. The rest of the day is free to enjoy your walk in the famous squares of Patras. Overnight.

Day 7 (Easter Tuesday): PATRA - ATHENS - LARNACA
After breakfast we will have free time at our disposal. Before departing for Athens airport we will visit the imposing church of Agios Andreas. Arrival early in the afternoon at Eleftherios Venizelos airport where we will take the return flight to Larnaca.
