Program

Day 1: LARNACA - ISTHUM OF CORINTH - PATRA - NAFPAKTOS
Gathering at Larnaca airport and flight to Athens. Arrival, pick-up and departure for the Isthmus of Corinth where we will make our first stop for coffee. We continue our journey to Patras where we will visit the imposing Church of Agios Andreas with its unique hagiographies and the Upper Town where the Castle of Patras is located. Time for a walk and to admire the city from above. After lunch departure for beautiful Nafpaktos via the Rio-Antirio bridge. We will tour the city center with its traditional houses, the Venetian harbor with the two picturesque towers at its entrance and the well-preserved castle. Late in the afternoon arrival at our hotel, check-in and overnight stay.

Day 2: MESSOLONGI - HEROES' GARDEN - NAFPAKTOS
After breakfast departure for a city synonymous with freedom and the arts, the historic Messolongi. The history of the city during the Revolution of 1821 has been captured in the Heroes' Garden which we will visit to admire its 50 monuments. Then we will tour the city's port, the square with the Town Hall and the pedestrian streets with the many cafes and restaurants. Our next stop is the Messolongi lagoon, one of the most important wetlands in Europe and the largest in Greece. We will visit the thematic Salt Museum, the only one in Greece which dates back to 1946 and where the salt workers lived. At the museum you will learn about the types of salts, the variety of colors, their thousands of uses and the history of the White and Black Salt Lakes. Lunch with a view of the Messolonghi lagoon and late afternoon return to Nafpaktos. Overnight stay.

Day 3: AETOLIKO - LAKE TRICHONIDA - NAFPAKTOS
After breakfast departure for the small but lively town of Aetoliko, the "little Venice" as they usually call it, is built on an island in the lagoons. The two stone multi-arched bridges that connect Aetoliko with the mainland date back to the late 19th century and have been recognized as "Historically Protected Monuments". Free time to "get lost" in its alleys that maintain their traditional style. Then we will visit Lake Trichonida with an area of ​​just over 95 square kilometers, it is the largest lake in Greece and one of the most important wetlands in the country. Many fish live in its waters. Stop for lunch. Return to Nafpaktos and overnight.

Day 4: LEFKADA - NAFPAKTOS
Breakfast and departure for Lefkada. Our first stop will be at the Faneromeni Monastery to enjoy the wonderful view and then we will tour the picturesque narrow streets of Lefkada town. We continue to Nidri, the most tourist resort on the island. Free time for an optional cruise to the islets of Scorpio and Madouri. Time for lunch. Return to Nafpaktos late in the afternoon. Overnight.

Day 5: GALAXIDI - ARACHOVA - LARNACA
After breakfast, departure for the stately and picturesque Galaxidi. Strolling through the five traditional squares, we are led to the highest point of the city for a visit to Agios Nikolaos with the masterful wooden carved iconostasis, the two bell towers and the imposing dome. The patron saint of the city, together with the church of Agia Paraskevi, are the top pilgrimage sites of Galaxidi. Then we will visit Arachova, the jewel of Parnassos, where we will have free time to walk and enjoy our coffee. Stop for lunch and transfer to Eleftherios Venizelos airport from where we will take our return flight to Larnaca.
