Program

Day 1: LARNACA - ATHENS - VOLOS
Meeting at Larnaca airport and flight to Athens. Arrival, pickup and departure towards the city of Jason and the Argonauts, Volos. Visit to the Athanasakeion Archaeological Museum, one of the oldest in the country and central in Thessaly, housed in the magnificent neoclassical building of 1909. Free time to walk around the city. Overnight.

Day 2: VOLOS - MAKRINITSA - PORTARIA - KISSOS - VOLOS
Breakfast and departure for the "Balcony of Pelion" the famous Makrinitsa. We will walk to the central square with the centuries-old plane trees, we will worship at the church of Agios Ioannis Prodromos and we will quench our thirst from the marble fountain "Immortal Water" with the lion-shaped faucets. After enjoying our coffee and the dazzling view, we will head to the traditional Portaria. Free time to walk along the Path of the Centaurs. We continue passing through Chania to end up in Kissos with the impressive church of Agia Marina with excellent frescoes and the school taught by Rigas Ferraios. Return to Volos and the rest of the day free. Overnight.

Day 3: VOLOS - PELIOS TRAIN - MILIES - TSAGARADA - VOLOS
Breakfast and transfer to Ano Lechonia where we will board the legendary train of Pelion, de Chirico's Moutzouris which will take us to Milies. The low speed combined with the traditional technical works and villages of the area is enough to make us enjoy the journey and experience images of rare aesthetics and the aura of another era. The short stop in the welcoming environment of Ano Gatzea, the good morning with the residents and then the finish at the atmospheric station of Milea, with the clouds of smoke and steam filling the atmosphere, are experiences now unique in the life of modern man. In Milies, the hometown of Anthimos Gazis, we will see the historic church of the Grand Marshals of 1741 and the public library, with rare manuscripts. We continue to Tsagarada, one of the most beautiful villages of Pelion, where we will have time for lunch and then return to our hotel in Volos. Rest of the day free. Overnight.

Day 4: VOLOS - METEORA - KALABAKA - ATHENS
After breakfast departure to visit the unique monasteries of Meteora above Kalambaka. We will visit the women's monastery of Agios Stefanos and see and photograph the Great Meteoron, also known as the Holy Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Savior - a male monastery, the oldest and largest of all Meteora monasteries. Visit to the Natural History and Mushroom Museum. Overnight in the town of Kalambaka for food and then we will continue to Athens. Arrival at our hotel in the late afternoon. Overnight.

Day 5: ATHENS RIVIERA - STAVROS NIARCHOS FOUNDATION - TEMPLE OF POSEIDON - SOUNIO
After breakfast we will depart for the Athenian Riviera, reaching Cape Souni. Our excursion begins with a first visit to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation where we will stay for our morning coffee. We will continue our coastal route to discover the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio and enjoy the amazing view of the Aegean Sea. Return to Fokia beach where we will stay for our lunch. In the afternoon return to Athens and free time. Overnight.

Day 6: ATHENS - LARNACA
Breakfast and free time at your disposal to do your last shopping and walks in the Greek capital. Wander through the picturesque alleys of Plaka or even enjoy your coffee in Thisio with a view of the Acropolis. Early afternoon transfer to Eleftherios Venizelos airport to take our return flight to Larnaca.
