Program

Day 1: LARNAKA - ATHENS - VOLOS
Gathering at Larnaka airport to take our flight to Athens. Arrival, pick-up and departure towards the city of Jason and the Argonauts, Volos. Visit to the Athanasakeion Archaeological Museum, one of the oldest in the country and central to Thessaly, housed in the magnificent neoclassical building of 1909. Free time for a walk in the city. Overnight.

Day 2: VOLOS - MAKRINITSA - PORTARIA - KISSOS - VOLOS
Breakfast and departure for the “Balcony of Pelion” the famous Makrinitsa. We will walk to the central square with the centuries-old plane trees, we will worship at the church of Agios Ioannis Prodromos and we will quench our thirst from the marble fountain “Immortal Water” with the lion-shaped taps. After enjoying our coffee and the dazzling view, we will head to the traditional Portaria. Free time for a walk on the Centaurs’ Path. We continue passing through Chania to end up in Kissos with the impressive church of Agia Marina with excellent frescoes and the school taught by Rigas Ferraios. Return to Volos and the rest of the day free.
Overnight stay.

Day 3: VOLOS - MILIES - TSAGARADA - VOLOS
Breakfast and we depart to visit the eastern side of Pelion, Milies and Tsagarada. In Milies, the hometown of Anthimos Gazi, we will see the historic church of the Panmegiston Taxiarches of 1741 and the public library, with rare manuscripts. We continue to Tsagarada, one of the most beautiful villages of Pelion where we will have time for lunch and then return to our hotel in Volos. The rest of the day is free. Overnight.

Day 4: VOLOS - METEORA - KALAMBAKA - ATHENS
After breakfast, departure to visit the unique monasteries of Meteora above Kalambaka. We will visit the female monastery of Agios Stefanos and see and photograph the Great Meteoron, also known as the Holy Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Savior - a male monastery, the oldest and largest of all the monasteries of Meteora. Visit to the Natural History and Mushroom Museum. Stay in the city of Kalambaka for lunch and then continue to Athens. Arrival at our hotel late in the afternoon. Overnight.

Day 5: ATHENS RIVIERA - STAVROS NIARCHOS FOUNDATION - TEMPLE OF POSEIDON - SOUNION
After breakfast we will depart for the Athenian Riviera, reaching Cape Sounion. Our excursion begins with a first visit to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation where we will stop for our morning coffee. We will continue our route along the coast to discover the Temple of Poseidon in Sounion and enjoy the stunning view of the Aegean Sea. Return to Fokia beach where we will stay for our lunch. In the afternoon return to Athens and free time. Overnight stay.

Day 6: ATHENS - LARNACA
Breakfast and free time to do your last shopping in the Greek capital or wander the picturesque alleys of Plaka or Thissio to enjoy your coffee. Early afternoon transfer to Eleftherios Venizelos airport to take our return flight to Larnaca loaded with beautiful images and memories.
