Day 4: CASTLE - ISLAND OF IOANNINA - WAX MUSEUM
After breakfast we will wander around the Castle of Ioannina! The Castle is mostly a work of the Ottoman period, with older Byzantine building phases incorporated. Inside the Castle, two citadels are formed. In the northeastern citadel, the palaces of the Byzantine rulers of the city were built. Today, the mosque of Aslan Pasha (1618) dominates its top. The second citadel, to the southeast, is known as Its-Kale, that is, the inner fortress. Our next stop is the Islet of Ioannina, one of the few inhabited lake islands in Europe. The island has a world first…it has no name! It is a rock drowned in pine trees, with a unique stone settlement around its natural harbor. Although small, the island has seven monasteries - the third largest monastic community in Greece, after Mount Athos and Meteora. Visit to the Museum with the wax figures and free time to get to know the city. Overnight.

Day 5: IOANNINA - METSOVO - KALAMBAKA - LARNACA

We say goodbye to Metsovo and continue via Kalambaka, our route to Eleftherios Venizelos airport from where we will take our return flight to Larnaca, impressed by the magnificent landscapes we visited!
