Program

DAY 1: LARNAKA-THESSALONIKI-IOANNINA
Meeting at Larnaca Airport. Arrangement of luggage and departure for Macedonia Airport. Arrival. Collection of luggage and departure by luxury air-conditioned bus to Ioannina. Arrival. Check in at the hotel. Dinner. Overnight.

DAY 2: IOANNINA-ZAGOROCHORIA-IOANNINA
Breakfast. Pilgrimage to the Holy Church of Agios Georgios the Neomartyr, where his remains are also kept. Visit (optional) to the Vrellis Museum with the wax figures. Then departure to visit Zagorochoria.. We will admire villages with a peaceful life, villages in the forest, crystal clear rivers, the traditional architecture of stone and wood which are the main materials from which the houses were and are still being made. We will stop in some villages and see others from the bus – Monodendri, Tsepelovo and the Church of Agia Paraskevi, the Vikos gorge. We will enjoy traditional foods, meats, famous pies, spoon sweets and the fine wine of the region. We will have time to have lunch (optional) in one of these picturesque villages. Return to Ioannina. Free time. Dinner. Overnight.

DAY 3: IOANNINA-IGOUMENITSA- CORFU-IOANNINA
Breakfast. departure for Igoumenitsa from where we will take the boat to Corfu. Arrival in Corfu where we will have a visit to the Holy Church of Agios Spyridon, where we will worship the holy relic of the Saint, after first passing through the largest square in the Balkans, Spaniada. Then we will worship at the Metropolitan Church where the relic of Saint Theodora of Augusta is located. Free time for lunch (optional). Then we will visit the excellent location of Kanoni for a coffee and to admire from above Pontikonissi and Panagia of Vlacherna. Return to the port where we will take the boat to Igoumenitsa and from there by bus to Ioannina. Dinner. Overnight.

DAY 4: IOANNINA-KONICSA-METSOVO-THESSALONIKI
Breakfast. Departure for Konitsa where we will visit the ancestral home of Agios Paisios, where the saint spent his childhood and teenage years. We continue to the beautiful and picturesque Metsovo where we will visit the Holy Church of Agia Paraskevi, one of the most beautiful churches in Greece. Free time to admire the beautiful scenery and shop for the various traditional products of the village. We continue to Thessaloniki. Arrival. Check in at the hotel. Free time. Overnight.

DAY 5: THESSALONIKI
Breakfast. Pilgrimage to the Holy Church of Agios Dimitrios (patron saint of the city) and to the Cathedral of Agia Sophia. Then tour of the city where we will see the White Tower, the Rotunda, the Arch of Galerius (Camara). Free time. Overnight.

DAY 6: THESSALONIKI-PANAGIAS SOUMELA-MONI DOBRA-EDESSA-THESSALONIKI-SOUROTI (AGIOS PAISIOS)
Breakfast. Departure to visit the village of Kastania in Vermio, where the Holy Church of Panagia Sumela stands majestically. This beautiful church was built in 1951 by Pontus refugees, as an attempt to revive the historic Monastery of the same name, on Mount Mela, near Trebizond, Pontus. Here is her miraculous icon, cross and gospel, brought from the Pontus by the refugees. Then departure for Veria to visit and make a pilgrimage to the Holy Monastery of Dovras, with the miraculous icon dedicated to the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary. A piece of the holy relics of Saint Luke the Physician is kept here. Then departure for Edessa to admire the famous waterfalls. Coffee stop. Return to Thessaloniki. On the way we will pass by Souroti, where we will visit the Holy Monastery of Agios Ioannis theologos, where the tomb of Agios Paisios and the relics of Agios Arsenios are located. Free time. Overnight.

DAY 7: THESSALONIKI - MACEDONIA AIRPORT - LARNACA
Breakfast. Free time. Departure to Macedonia Airport for the return flight.
