Program

Day 1: Larnaca – Thessaloniki – Zagorochoria
Gathering at Larnaca airport and departure for Thessaloniki. Arrival and pick-up by our local agents and transfer to our hotel in Zagorochoria. Room arrangement and free time for a walk. Overnight stay.

Day 2: Vitsa (Zagorochoria) – Free day
Breakfast at the hotel and free time to get to know the wonderful village of Vitsa. The village of Vitsa is a characterized traditional settlement, with particular historical architectural and ecological interest in the Zagori region. The settlement of Vitsa has only one center, the middle village (Platia) around which the houses in the various neighborhoods are developed. The churches of Agios Nikolaos, Koinesis tis Theotokou and Taxiarches are of particular architectural interest. Another point of interest is the bridge of Missios which is located at the beginning of the Vikos gorge at a distance of 30 minutes from the village square following the Vitsa staircase (stone-built path).

Day 3: Vitsa – Voidomatis - Rafting
Breakfast and departure for a walk in Vitsa where we will have a picnic on the way. At noon, rest and departure in the afternoon for Voidomatis where we will go rafting. Voidomatis is characterized as one of the cleanest rivers in Europe, as it does not face pollution problems. It crosses one of the most beautiful mountainous locations in Greece, which has been classified as a national park since 1973, as well as the Vikos gorge which is a monument of natural beauty. Along the Voidomatis, some of the most beautiful single-arch, continental bridges are found. We will go rafting on the Voidomatis. Return in the afternoon to the accommodation and overnight.

Day 4: Vitsa – Vikos Gorge
Breakfast and departure for hiking in the Vikos Gorge. The gorge is crossed by the Voidomatis River. The area is one of the most important ecosystems due to its rare flora and fauna. In the evening there will be a cooking class and dinner.

Day 5: Vitsa - Thessaloniki
Breakfast and departure for Thessaloniki. Arrival, room arrangement and free time at our disposal. Overnight.

Day 6: Thessaloniki - Larnaca
Breakfast and free time at your disposal until our departure for the airport. Return to Cyprus at noon.
