Program

Day 1: LARNACA - ATHENS - CORINTH - NAFPLIO
Meeting at Larnaca airport and flight to Athens. Arrival, pickup and departure for the Peloponnese. We will stop at Isthmos and continue to the historical Nafplion. Check in at our hotel and free time. Overnight.

Day 2: NAFPLIO
After breakfast we will have a guided tour of the romantic city of Nafplio. We will start from the Dry Gate, the only entrance to the city during the Venetian period. We will pass by the place where Ioannis Kapodistrias, the first governor of Greece, was assassinated and we will end up in Syntagma Square where Venetian and neoclassical buildings dominate the surroundings. Characteristic buildings, such as the Parliament and the archaeological museum are on our way and the tour of the alleys of the old town is fabulous. We will go up to Akronafplia, the citadel of Nafplio to enjoy the unique view. Our walk will end at the port of the city, in front of the famous Bourtzi, the Venetian fortress built on an islet, which is also the city's trademark. Finally, a visit to Palamidi. The rest of our day will be free.

Day 3: ANCIENT THEATER OF EPIDAUR - LYGOURIO
Breakfast and departure for the Theater of Ancient Epidaurus which is in excellent condition and is the best preserved ancient Greek theater inside and outside of Greece. The archaeological site of Epidaurus is mainly known for the famous Ancient Theater which was added much later to the sacred and healing area of ​​Asklepiion and was dedicated to the god who cured diseases, Asklepios. Its capacity was 13,000 spectators and it was also used for the treatment of patients, since it was believed that when the patients attended theater performances this had very good effects on their mental and physical health. The site it was built on helped to keep the theater in excellent condition because it was buried by mounds of dirt over the centuries until it was excavated. We will then depart for the nearby village of Lygourio where we will have free time for lunch, as it is famous for its taverns. Return in the late afternoon to Nafplio.

Day 4: NAFPLIO - MALEVIS MONASTERY
Breakfast and we head to the Holy Dormition Monastery of Malevi where the miraculous icon of the Virgin painted by the Evangelist Loukas is kept. Also known as the second Holy Mountain due to the large concentration of monasteries. We continue to Astros, a beautiful village with a traditional castle, stone-built houses and a view of the Argolic Gulf. Free time for lunch. Early afternoon return to our hotel.

Day 5: NAFPLIO - DISCOUNT VILLAGE - LARNACA
Breakfast and free time. Early in the afternoon transfer to Mc Arthur discount village located in Spata. Here you can finish your shopping, drink your coffee or even enjoy your food. Finally, transfer to the airport to catch our return flight to Larnaca.
