Program

Day 1: LARNACA - ATHENS - KAMENA VOURLA - THERMOPYLES - GORGOPOTAMOU BRIDGE - KARPENISSI
Meeting at Larnaca airport and flight to Athens. Arrival, collection and immediate departure for Kamena Vourla where we will have free time for lunch. We continue to the field of the Battle of Thermopylae with the monument of Leonidas and to the historical bridge of Gorgopotamos. Arrival in Karpenisi and check-in at the hotel. Free time in the picturesque square and a visit to the church of the Holy Trinity with its remarkable Byzantine and post-Byzantine icons. Overnight.

Day 2: KORYSCHADES - PRUSSIOTISSAS MONASTERY - BIG VILLAGE - SMALL VILLAGE
Breakfast and we depart alongside the Karpenisiotis river. Our first stop will be in the historic village of Koryschades, which is only 5km from Karpenissi, a visit to the National Resistance museum and we will continue to Proussos where the great pilgrimage of the Virgin Mary is located, in a majestic landscape in the ravine. Time for a pilgrimage and on the way back we will stop at Megalo Chorio which is built in a dense fir forest and retains its stone character. Free time in the village square to take a walk and enjoy the amazing river valley, visit the churches, the folklore museum and the traditional shops with sweets and nice things made by the women of the association. We will have an optional lunch at Yorganades. We continue to Mikro Chorio which is located in a place of incredible mountain beauty and has its own history. Return to our hotel and free time. Overnight.

Day 3: KARPENESI - CHANI GRAVIAS - ITEA - GALAXIDI - ERATINI - NAFPAKTO - PATRA
Breakfast and we say goodbye to Karpenisi, heading south towards the Gulf of Corinth. Our first stop will be at the historic Hani of Gravia, where in May 1821 the well-known battle took place with Odysseus Androutsos and Omer Vryonis as protagonists. We continue towards the coastal Itea embraced by the Gulf of Corinth. Free time and we continue to Galaxidi and Erateini, for an optional lunch with delicious and healthy seafood offered by the Corinthian sea. We will take our afternoon walk to Nafpaktos, which is reflected in its Venetian castle and port. Our beautiful route ends with a short ferry boat transfer from Antirrio to Rio, the journey takes just 15 minutes. The view is magnificent as we will be sailing past the 3km cable bridge. Arrival in Patras and check-in at the hotel. In the evening we will take our walk to the most crowded places of Patrina. Overnight.

Day 4: PΑTRA
After breakfast our day is dedicated to Patras. We will start with a pilgrimage to the imposing Church of Agios Andreas, a work of art with unique hagiographies and continue to the Upper Town where the Castle of Patras is located. Time for a walk and to look at the city from above and we descend towards the center of the new city. Here we will discover the many squares of Patras that are surrounded by important attractions as well as several shops and cafes. Free time to use as you wish. Overnight.

Day 5: PATRA - KALAVRITA - MEGA SPILEIO - AGIA LAURA - CORINTH - ATHENS
Breakfast and departure for Diakopto. We will board the Odontotos train to enjoy a magical journey of about an hour. After crossing the Vouraikos gorge we will end up in Kalavryta. Time to visit the memorial to the fallen, to get to know the beauties of the area, to do our shopping with local products, but also to have lunch in one of the taverns. In the early afternoon we board our coach and depart for the Great Cave and Agia Lavra and continue to Athens with a short stop at the Isthmus of Corinth. Check in at our hotel and free time.

Day 6: ATHENS - LARNACA
Breakfast and free time in Athens. Late afternoon transfer to Athens airport and flight to Larnaca.
