Day 1: LARNACA - ATHENS - NAPLES
Gathering at Larnaca airport and flight to the capital of Campania, the much-sung Naples, a bustling city full of contrasts, home of the famous tenor Enrico Caruso, pizza and Sophia Loren. Naples is colorful and charming with outgoing people. One of the oldest and richest in history and culture European cities, with the historic center having been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In our panoramic tour we will see the Paccanapoli district with its narrow picturesque streets and the busy Via San Biaggio, which crosses the city, the Castello del Uovo, the Royal Palace, the Loggia of Umberto and the oldest Opera House in Europe, the San Carlo Theater. Finally, we will meet on the Posillipo hill to enjoy a panoramic view of the city and Vesuvius. Transfer and check-in at the hotel. The rest of the day is free. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: NAPLES - POSITANO - AMALFI
After breakfast we will depart for Salerno, where we will take the boat for a magical cruise on the Tyrrhenian Sea. Our first visit is the beautiful Positano, perched on top of a hill with its colorful houses and narrow alleys. Once a simple fishing village, today it has been transformed into one of the most chic seaside resorts in Europe. Free time to walk along its narrow and picturesque cobblestone streets. Then departure for Amalfi, built in the cove of the homonymous bay on the Amalfi Coast, one of the most breathtaking coasts in Europe. On our walking tour we will see the stately homes, the Cathedral of the Apostle Andrew with Byzantine, Arabic and Gothic architectural elements. Late in the afternoon return to Naples. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: NAPLES - CAPRI - SORRENTO
Breakfast and immediately afterwards we will take the speedboat to the enchanting island of dolce vita, Capri. A place that has been loved for more than 2000 years by Roman emperors, politicians, famous artists and Hollywood stars, has maintained its first place in the preferences of the international jet set for years. The Roman villas, the statues, the baths, the churches, the hanging stairs that end in the sea amidst a lush and colorful Mediterranean vegetation, are reminiscent of a scene from another era. We also recommend a visit to one of the many caves and especially the blue cave or enjoy a cool cocktail in the heart of the island, in the Piazetta square. Then we will depart for the romantic Sorrento with its stunning view of Naples and Vesuvius. Take your walk and wander through the picturesque narrow streets of the city that smells of delicious delights, like the whole of Southern Italy. Indulge in the enjoyment of a gelato or cool off with a shot of limoncello. Return to Naples. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4: NAPLES - POMPEII - ROME
After breakfast, departure for the archaeological site of Pompeii, which was buried by lava and ash from Vesuvius in 79 AD. In the tour that follows we will see, among other things, Porta Marina, the ancient agora, the theater, the temples of Zeus and Apollo, the baths, the luxurious villas with the famous frescoes (1st century BC), which provide us with a complete picture of the painting of the ancient world. We continue with the final destination of Rome. Arrival, transfer and check-in at the hotel. The rest of the day is free. Overnight.
Day 5: ROME - CITY TOUR - VATICAN
Breakfast and tour of Rome. We will see the Colosseum, the largest ancient amphitheater in the world, the Arch of Constantine the Great and the Roman Forum. Passing through the Imperial Markets Street, we will reach the Capitoline Hill and Piazza Venezia with the impressive and massive monument dedicated to Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of modern united Italy. We will also see the famous Trevi Fountain, where you can throw a coin, making a wish, and the bustling Piazza di Spagna, one of the most beautiful squares in Italy with the majestic Spanish Steps and the beautiful church, creating one of the most beautiful "frames" of Rome. We continue to the Vatican and the magnificent Basilica of the Apostle Peter, the largest church in the world built on the tomb of the Saint, where among other things we will see the well-known sculpture of Michelangelo, the famous Pieta. The rest of the day is free to take your walks. Discover the picturesque districts of Rome, such as the beautiful Trastevere, which has managed to maintain its authenticity over the years. Narrow cobblestone streets, with restaurants and bars bustling with life create a unique setting reminiscent of old Italian cinema. Overnight stay.
Day 6: ROME - LARNACA
After breakfast, free time at your disposal. Then we will be transferred to the Rome airport to take the return flight. Arrival in Larnaca late in the evening, impressed by the enchanting images of the landscapes and the authentic cities we visited.
