Day 1: LARNACA - DUBAI - DELHI
Meeting at Larnaca airport and departure for Delhi with a stopover. Overnight on the plane.
Day 2: DELHI - AGRA
Arrival in Delhi, pick-up by our representatives and departure by road to the legendary Agra, which in addition to the Taj Mahal, is also known for its textiles and gold embroidery. On the way we will visit the impressive Hindu temple of Akshardham with its magnificent gardens. Arrival in Agra and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: AGRA - TAZ MAHAL - AGRA
After breakfast, our tour begins with a visit to the impressive and much-photographed mausoleum "Taj Mahal". The incomparably beautiful building made of pure white marble is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was built in the mid-17th century by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, as a sign of his absolute love, devastated by her death in 1631. It is rightly considered a symbol of love and devotion. The mausoleum is adorned with exceptional representations and impresses with its architectural perfection. In the afternoon, we will visit the imposing Agra Fort. Built on the banks of the Yamuna River, with 20-meter-high walls, it consists of palaces and gardens with the pearl mosque as the top building. Then we will visit a marble factory. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4: AGRA - FATEHPUR SIKR - JAIPUR
Breakfast. Leaving Agra behind us, we will continue to the ''Pink City'' as Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, is called. On the way, we will visit the desert city of Fatehpur Sikri. This magical jewel of the desert with its magnificent palaces was built by Emperor Akbar in 1569, but was abandoned after 15 years due to lack of water. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5: JAIPUR - AMER - JAIPUR
After breakfast, our day will begin with a visit to one of the most imposing monuments in the region, the famous amber fortress "Amer Fort" that dominates the ridge of the mountain range and was for centuries the home of the famous Rajput warriors. An elephant will relieve you of the trouble of reaching the fort at the top. Return to Jaipur where in the afternoon we will get to know the city better. During our tour we will see, among other things, the Palace located in the center of the city, the open-air observatory with the 90-meter-high sundial or "Chandra Mandar" and the famous "Hawa Mahal" also known as the "Palace of the Winds" which is built with pink sandstone. Then we will visit a carpet and tea factory as well as the famous "Babu" market for shopping. In the evening we will have an exciting experience. We will watch the "Aarti" ritual during which hundreds of small lamps and candles are offered to one or more deities accompanied by religious hymns. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: JAIPUR - DELHI
Breakfast and then departure for the capital of India, the bustling Delhi. Everything in Delhi is in motion. On the streets you can see everything. Three million vehicles, taxis, bicycles, motorcycles, overloaded trucks, "sacred" cows and sights of unparalleled art and beauty. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. In our afternoon tour we will visit the Qutub Minar, a complex of monuments with the tallest tower in India and then the impressive Lotus Temple with its lush gardens. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: DELHI
After breakfast we will have the opportunity to get to know old Delhi. Among other things we will see the Red Fort, one of the most important monuments in India, which is 2 kilometers long and was built between 1638 and 1648, the Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in the country, as well as the Razghat, the place where the bodies of Mahatma Gandhi and Nehru were cremated. We will continue our tour of New Delhi, which has been the capital of India since 1911. It was designed by the American architect Lutyens next to Old Delhi and reflects the grandeur of the once mighty British Empire. We will see, among other things, the Gate dedicated to the Indian soldiers who lost their lives in World War I, the Parliament building and the Presidential residence. If time permits, we will visit the Chutney Chowk market. Dinner and overnight.
Day 8: DELHI - DUBAI - LARNACA
Breakfast (Breakfast box). Departure and transfer to the airport to take the return flight to Larnaca impressed by the mysterious India, the land of contrasts, aromas, saris and maharajas.
