Day 1: LARNACA - FRANKFURT - PARIS - CASTLE OF SAMBOR & BLOUIS - TOURS
Gathering at Larnaca airport to take our flight to the city of light, cosmopolitan Paris. Arrival, pick-up and departure for the Loire Valley, the largest river in France, with the final destination being the city of Tours. On the way, we will visit the largest and most imposing castle of the Loire Valley, Chambord, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our next stop will be the city of Blois on the banks of the Loire. During our short walking tour, we will see the famous royal castle of Blois, which was once one of the residences of Louis XII. We continue to Tours, which is built between the Loire and Serre rivers. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Overnight.
Day 2: TOURS - CHATEAU CHENONCAU - AMBOISE - TOURS
Breakfast and departure for a tour of the medieval city of Tours, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then we will depart to visit the romantic castle of Chenonceau, built on the Serre River and known as "the castle of the ladies", as throughout its history it was managed, inhabited, used and decorated mainly by women. Departure from Chenonceau to visit the castle-fortress in the city of Amboise where Leonardo da Vinci lived his last years. Return to Tours enjoying a wonderful journey along the Loire River. Overnight.
Day 3: TOUR - AROMANS - CAEN
After breakfast we will depart for AROMANS in the Calvados department of Normandy, an important spa town due to its sandy beach. The city attracts a very large number of visitors, as it has one of the Normandy Landing Museums. We continue to our final destination, the city of Caen, the largest in lower Normandy with a rich and impressive past. The city was a key point in the Battle of Normandy and houses one of the most important museums dedicated to World War II. Transfer and check-in at the hotel. Overnight.
Day 4: CAEN - SAINT MALOU - MON SAINT MICHEL - CAEN
Breakfast and our first stop is the castle-state of Saint Malo on the coast of the English Channel, which was a refuge for corsairs and pirates. A fortified city, which was impressively restored after its almost complete destruction in World War II. We will walk within the walls of the medieval city with the Cathedral of Saint Vincent and the tower where the city museum is housed. We continue to the fairy-tale island of Mont Saint Michel, one of the most famous attractions in France with approximately 2 million visitors per year. Mont Saint Michel is a rocky, magical island in the middle of a vast expanse of sand, which is covered by the sea at high tide. At its top stands the Abbey of St. Michael, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tiny village at the foot of the hill with its stone houses with flowers, its cobbled streets and its picturesque inns give the impression that a window has just opened to the Middle Ages. Free time. Return to our hotel and overnight.
Day 5: CAEN - DEAUVILLE - TRUVILLE - HONFLEUR - PARIS
After breakfast, departure for Paris. Our first stop is the twin cosmopolitan seaside resort of Deauville-Trouville. Here you can admire the luxurious and aristocratic buildings and shops and one of the most elegant casinos in Europe along the famous promenade. We continue to the beautiful Honfleur, initially a picturesque fishing village and later a small historic town like a miniature of the 17th century amidst flowers, as its name suggests. We continue to the city of light. Arrival in Paris and check-in at our hotel. Overnight.
Day 6: PARIS - TOUR
Breakfast followed by a panoramic tour of the city. We will see the Trocadero, the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs-Elysées, Omonia Square, the Church of Sainte-Madeleine, the busy Boulevards, the impressive Opera building, the famous pyramids of the Louvre, the new Pont Neuf bridge, the City Hall, Notre Dame de Paris, the famous Sorbonne University and finally the famous war museum, where Napoleon is buried, known as the Palace of the Resistance. The afternoon is free at your disposal. You can take an optional cruise on the Seine with the famous bateau mousses, or a walk in the picturesque Montmartre, where you can visit the Basilica of Sacrè Coeur, which dominates the top of the hill and is visible from almost every point in Paris. Wander through the picturesque streets with the artists and painters, and enjoy your coffee in one of the outdoor cafes. Overnight stay.
Day 7-8: PARIS - FRANKFURT - LARNACA
Breakfast and free time at your disposal and then transfer to the airport to take the return flight. Arrival in Larnaca at dawn on the 8th day, clearly impressed by the spectacular routes with the magical castles, the historical areas and the picturesque villages. Certainly, France is not only Paris….
