Program
Day 1: LARNACA - VENICE - MILAN
Gathering at Larnaca airport and direct flight to the most romantic city in the world, Venice, built on 118 small islands, connected by approximately 410 bridges, and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. From Tronchetto, we will take the vaporetto (own expense) and end up in the Kastello area, where the Orthodox church of Agios Georgios and the Byzantine Institute are located. Passing through picturesque bridges and narrow alleys, we will see the imposing Doge's Palace, a phantasmagoria of pink and white marble in Venetian-Gothic style, and we will end up in St. Mark's Square, "the most beautiful living room in Europe", as Napoleon described it. Here is the famous St. Mark's Cathedral, a masterpiece of Byzantine architecture, with impressive mosaics, the bell tower, the Clock Tower, the Marcian Library and the famous Carrère Museum. Finally, we will visit one of the few Murano glassmaking workshops. Free time and then departure for the financial capital of Italy, Milan. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Overnight.
Day 2: MILAN - LAKE COMO - MILAN
Breakfast and in the panoramic tour that follows we will see, among other things, the Sforza Castle, one of the largest fortresses in Europe built in the 15th century, the central square of the city "Piazza del Duomo" with the imposing Cathedral of the same name, which is considered one of the most important in the world. We will visit the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, with its luxurious fashion stores, which took its name from the first king of a united Italy. The building consists of two glass vaulted arcades and connects the squares Del Duomo and Della Scala, where the famous "La Scala di Milano" is located, one of the most famous Opera houses in the world. We continue with a visit to the magnificent Como, which is undoubtedly one of the most unique cities in Northern Italy. Dozens of writers have praised the unique beauty and wonderful atmosphere of the natural landscape of Lake Como. The peaceful lake, one of the most romantic and cosmopolitan places in Europe, is surrounded by verdant slopes, while in the background the imposing Alps rise. We will walk through the historic center and admire the lush landscape that is reflected in the waters of Lake Como. Return to the hotel and overnight.
Day 3: MILAN - LAKE MAGGIORE - MILAN
After breakfast we will depart for Lake Maggiore, the second largest lake in Italy with its beautiful islands. Lush greenery, imposing palaces with impressive gardens make Lake Maggiore a charming destination. Those who wish can take an optional mini cruise to the islands of the lake, Isola Madre, Isola Bella and the most picturesque island of Isola dei Pescatori. Then we will have free time in the cosmopolitan and elegant Stresa, the famous resort located on the shores of Lake Maggiore. Return to Milan and overnight.
Day 4: MILAN - GENOA - PORTOFINO - NICE
After breakfast, departure for the famous Italian Riviera. It is this point where the Alps and the Apennine Mountains become one with the sea, luxury marries with the traditional and composes the unique charm of the Italian Riviera. First stop is the unique Genoa with its special architecture and aesthetics, full of life and pulse. On our panoramic tour we will see, among other things, the Cathedral of San Lorenzo with its magnificent marble facade, the impressive Piazza de Ferrari with the Opera building and the Doge's Palace. We continue to the beautiful Santa Margherita, with its colorful buildings and picturesque squares, where by boat we will visit the diamond of the Italian Riviera, the cosmopolitan Portofino with its colorful houses, elegant boutiques, the marina with its impressive yachts, as well as the local shops with local products. We continue to the wonderful Nice, capital of the French Riviera. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Overnight.
Day 5: NICE - CANNES - SAINT PAUL DEVANS - NICE
Breakfast and panoramic tour of the city. We will cross the famous Avenue Des Anglais, which extends along the beach and was named after a group of English tourists who during the 18th century used to spend the winter here, due to the mild climate. We will see the emblematic hotel "Negresco", we will pass through the central square of the city Massena, the Garibaldi square and finally we will see the Cathedral of Nice. Then we will depart for the undisputed "queen" of the Côte d'Azur, Cannes with the legendary Croisette, the coastal avenue with palm trees, the beaches, the Belle Époque hotels, the expensive boutiques and the Palais des Festivals de Cannes. Free time for a walk and a coffee. Then we will visit the picturesque medieval village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence. Narrow cobblestone streets full of shops with works of art by local artists, flower-filled courtyards, medieval arches, and perfectly preserved medieval buildings compose images of unparalleled beauty. Late in the afternoon we will return to Nice. Overnight.
Day 6: NICE - EZ - MONACO - NICE
After breakfast, departure for the medieval city of EZ, where we will visit the Fragonard perfume factory. Next visit the cosmopolitan Principality of Monaco, whose inhabitants are called Monegasques. In our panoramic tour we will see the Palace of the Monegasques, the official seat of government of the Principality and residence of the Grimaldi Royal Family since the 13th century, the imposing Cathedral of Notre Dame and finally we will see the Oceanographic Museum, which was directed for years by the famous explorer Jacques-Yves Cousteau. Free time in the historic center of the city. Late afternoon return to Nice. Overnight.
Day 7: NICE - MILAN - LARNACA
After breakfast, departure for the airport in Milan to take the return flight. Arrival in Larnaca in the evening with wonderful memories of an equally wonderful trip.
