Day 1: LARNACA - ROME
Meeting at Larnaca airport and direct flight to Rome. Arrival in the "eternal city", pick-up and transfer to the hotel. Overnight.
Day 2: ROME - CITY TOUR - VATICAN
After breakfast, guided tour of Rome. We will see the Colosseum, the largest ancient amphitheater in the world, the Arch of Constantine the Great and the Roman Forum. Passing through the Imperial Markets Street, we will reach the Capitoline Hill and Piazza Venezia with the impressive and massive monument dedicated to Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of modern united Italy. We will also see the famous Trevi Fountain, where you can throw a coin, making a wish, and the bustling Piazza di Spagna, one of the most beautiful squares in Italy with the majestic Spanish Steps and the beautiful church, creating one of the most beautiful "frames" of Rome. We continue to the Vatican and the magnificent Basilica of the Apostle Peter, the largest church in the world built on the tomb of the Saint, where among other things we will see the well-known sculpture of Michelangelo, the famous Pieta. The rest of the day is free to take your walks. Discover the picturesque districts of Rome, such as the beautiful Trastevere, which has managed to maintain its authenticity over the years. Narrow cobblestone streets, with restaurants and bars bustling with life, create a unique setting reminiscent of old Italian cinema. Overnight stay.
Day 3: ROME - SIENA - SAN GIMINIANO - MONTECATINI
Breakfast and departure for Siena. Eleven streets lead to the beautiful central square Piazza del Campo, where the medieval Town Hall dominates. On our tour of the picturesque cobblestone streets of the city, we will admire the medieval mansions, churches and the Cathedral, dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, which is considered one of the most important works of art in all of Italy. Then we will visit medieval San Gimignano. The tall, majestic towers welcome us from afar, giving San Gimignano a fairytale appearance, almost unbelievable. Late in the afternoon, transfer and check-in at our hotel in Montecatini Terme, one of the most elegant spa towns in Italy. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: MONTECATINI - FLORENCE
After breakfast, we will depart for the unique Florence, a city with an incredible artistic heritage and enchanting beauty. During our tour, we will see Piazza San Giovanni with the Baptistery of St. John and the Renaissance Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, with Brunelleschi's famous dome. Continuing, we will descend to Piazza de la Signoria, which adorns the Fountain of Poseidon and a copy of Michelangelo's statue of David. Here is the Palazzo Vecchio, which currently houses the city's Town Hall, and the Loggia with statues of great Florentine sculptors. We continue to the famous Uffizi Gallery, the famous and much-photographed Ponte Vecchio bridge with its countless jewelry stores, Piazza Repubblica, one of the most central squares in Florence, with the characteristic Arcone arch and the historic Gilli and Paszkowski cafes. Free time for shopping in the city's unique markets or for those who wish to visit Palazzo Pitti, the luxurious residence of the Medici. Return to Montecatini. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5: MONTECATTINI - CRUISE TO THE VILLAGES OF CINQUE TERRE
Breakfast and departure for a magical cruise to the fairytale villages of Cinque Terre, which are perched on the steep cliffs of the southern tip of the Italian Riviera in the Ligurian Sea. The area is impressive and one of the most beautiful in Italy and has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. With the city of La Spezia as our departure point, we will visit some of the most beautiful medieval villages, where we will have free time for lunch and to take our walks in the narrow, picturesque streets and admire the exceptionally beautiful landscape. Late in the afternoon return to our hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6: MONTECATINI - PISA - ROME - LARNACA
After breakfast, departure for the historic city of Pisa with its medieval walls and the famous leaning tower, which is one of the most photographed sights in the world, which has been admiring visitors for 800 years. We continue to Rome airport to take the return flight. Arrival in Larnaca late in the evening, impressed by the unparalleled beauties we saw.
